Job summary
Develop and operate an internal Kubernetes platform that provides self-service capabilities and reliable infrastructure for development teams. Responsibilities include designing and improving private-cloud clusters, automating provisioning and lifecycle management with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps, troubleshooting across workloads, networking, scheduling, and storage, and applying security hardening, policies, and Zero-Trust principles. The technology stack includes Kubernetes, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Helm, Kyverno, Grafana, Prometheus, Linux, and Ansible.

Qualifications
- Experience building, operating, and improving production Kubernetes platforms
- Strong Linux skills and experience troubleshooting and hardening complex systems
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and CI/CD
- Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, including CNI, ingress, DNS, or service routing
- Knowledge of container technologies beyond deployment
- Ability to automate recurring tasks and create maintainable, reusable solutions
- Collaborative approach with an understanding of internal development teams' needs
- Very good German and good English communication skills
- Curiosity about new technologies and AI, with a critical assessment of their practical value
Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and continuously improve Kubernetes clusters in a private cloud
- Develop platform architecture, standards, networking, ingress, storage, and policy components
- Automate platform provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps
- Troubleshoot technical issues across workloads, networks, scheduling, and storage
- Secure the platform through hardening, policies, and Zero-Trust principles
- Develop and document reusable solutions and self-service offerings for development teams
- Evaluate ways to use AI for platform operations and automation
