Job summary

The Lead AI Platform Engineer at Manulife is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure for AI solutions, ensuring operational efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years IT industry experience
• 7 to 10 years of platform engineering experience
• 1-2 years of experience in AI model and infrastructure deployments
• Solid understanding of Azure infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks, ADF, ADLS, Synapse, Python, PySpark, T-SQL
• High proficiency in GIT/Jenkins/dev ops processes
• Good understanding of data modeling and Lakehouse architecture
• Understanding of data privacy and compliance regulations
• Experience deploying LLM models in cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Design scalable and robust AI infrastructure
• Update and maintain AI models and infrastructure
• Stay updated with advancements in AI and machine learning
• Experiment with new tools and techniques
• Collaborate with business and analytics partners
• Ensure Azure applications run within SLA
• Propose technology improvements
