Job summary

Log*** is seeking a highly experienced Android Systems Engineer to develop and deliver Android-based appliance platforms, focusing on reliability, performance, and integration.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in embedded Linux or Android platform development.
  • Strong experience building and shipping Android-based hardware products.
  • Deep understanding of Android architecture and boot process.
  • Strong Linux kernel development experience.
  • Experience with Android BSP integration and platform bring-up.
  • Deep experience in Android subsystems: Camera, Display, Audio Frameworks.
  • Strong debugging skills across kernel and application layers.
  • Experience with Android build systems and CI workflows.
  • Experience with SELinux policy development.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate Android-based software platforms for appliance devices.
  • Customize and optimize Android system behavior for appliance use cases.
  • Work across Android framework, native services, HAL layers, kernel, and device-specific software.
  • Support Android platform bring-up on new SoC platforms.
  • Integrate BSP releases from SoC vendors and technology partners.
  • Drive platform stability, boot performance, and production readiness.
  • Develop, debug, and maintain Linux kernel components.
  • Work on device drivers for various hardware interfaces.
  • Debug low-level system issues and analyze diagnostic data.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to resolve integration issues.
  • Optimize kernel and driver performance.
  • Provide technical leadership in Android multimedia subsystems.
  • Ensure camera, display, and audio features meet product requirements.
  • Design and debug Android HAL implementations.
  • Integrate vendor functionality into the Android framework.
  • Support Android compatibility and production software requirements.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions for new platforms.
  • Evaluate SoC capabilities and provide technical guidance.
  • Mentor engineers in Android platform development.
