Lead, Automation Engineer

Job summary

The Lead Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and scaling automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and user experience. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience
• Experience with automation concepts, including low-code platforms, RPA, AI, and ML
• Strong hands-on experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar languages
• Prior experience in leading teams and managing projects
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT team members and stakeholders
• Lead design and implementation of projects
• Provide expertise on project implementation
• Maintain expert-level understanding of M365 technology stack
• Ensure solutions adhere to architecture and compliance standards
• Support identification of automation opportunities
• Assist in evaluating emerging technologies
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions
• Support vendor selection and collaboration
• Contribute to smooth handoff of solutions to operations
• Assist with governance and compliance support
• Support ongoing analysis of automation performance
• Provide day-to-day guidance to team members
