Job summary

Lead a client platform team in evolving AWS infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and broader platform use. Design platform capabilities such as federated identity, assess and prioritise work, and turn requirements into implementable, auditable tasks with architects and technical business analysts. The role combines hands-on engineering with team leadership, operational ownership, stakeholder engagement, and delivery planning in a regulated environment.

• Strong hands-on AWS cloud engineering and platform design experience
• Ability to work independently, navigate an unfamiliar estate, and make sound technical judgments
• Experience with federated identity and complex integrations
• Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore
• Experience in regulated environments, including risk, assurance, and design controls
• Experience owning incident management, on-call frameworks, and post-incident reviews
• Experience leading a platform or infrastructure engineering team
• Ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders, clarify priorities, and manage competing demands

Responsibilities

• Design and build reliable AWS platform capabilities, including federated identity
• Assess the platform and prioritise work through year-end
• Translate requirements into implementable, auditable work with the solution architect and technical business analysts
• Establish a foundation for wider platform use
• Own incident management, on-call frameworks, and post-incident reviews
• Lead, mentor, and support the day-to-day performance of the engineering team
