Mas*** is seeking a Lead Database Platform Engineer to provide technical leadership and platform strategy for their enterprise database ecosystem. The role involves driving platform modernization, establishing engineering standards, and improving operational efficiency while ensuring the security and reliability of database platforms.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in Oracle Exadata/RAC/Redis/PostgreSQL database engineering and automation
• Deep understanding of database architecture and operational best practices
• Strong knowledge of platform engineering principles and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure using automation
• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Experience establishing engineering standards and governance practices
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and strategy
• Advanced understanding of database platforms in supporting business capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead design, engineering, implementation, administration, and operational support of enterprise database platforms
• Establish and maintain database engineering standards and operational procedures
• Drive platform engineering initiatives focused on automation and scalability
• Design and support highly available and secure database infrastructure solutions
• Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
• Integrate database platforms into CI/CD pipelines
• Develop automation capabilities for provisioning and monitoring
• Partner with teams to deliver enterprise database services
• Lead troubleshooting and performance analysis initiatives
• Support infrastructure engineering for database services across environments
• Enable database services for distributed systems and microservices
• Evaluate emerging technologies for platform improvements
• Ensure adherence to security requirements and governance standards
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring and knowledge sharing
• Lead internal projects to advance Database Engineering capabilities
• Identify opportunities for delegation and oversight
• Participate in production support and incident management activities
