Lead DevOps Engineer (AI Early Stage Startup)

Job summary

Lead DevOps Engineer responsible for secure, multi-tenant infrastructure at an early-stage AI startup.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure
• Experience owning production systems
• Fluency with Kubernetes, AWS, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code
• Background in high-standard environments
• Hands-on approach with no interest in purely architectural roles
• Ability to balance speed, security, cost, and reliability
• Experience with formal security or compliance regimes is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Own secure, multi-tenant infrastructure end-to-end
• Manage GitOps deployment backbone on Argo CD
• Oversee Kubernetes on AWS (EKS) across production environments
• Implement infrastructure-as-code in Terraform/OpenTofu and Terragrunt
• Ensure multi-tenant, per-customer isolation
• Maintain security and compliance posture
• Establish observability metrics and logging
• Develop reliability and incident response protocols
• Automate CI/CD and release processes
• Enhance developer experience for deployment and debugging
