The Lead DevOps Engineer will shape the technical landscape, focusing on infrastructure evolution, environment optimization, and CI/CD process refinement. Qualifications
- Experience managing infrastructure as code using Terraform and Git.
- Experience designing, building, securing, and managing production services in AWS (ECS, EC2, VPC, Postgres, ELB, S3).
- Experience with a programming language such as Go, Python, Ruby, or Javascript.
- Line manager experience or capability leading mixed skillset teams.
- Experience with container orchestration, continuous delivery methods, and deployment processes.
Responsibilities
- Proactively and effectively manage AWS environments.
- Ensure data security in service design and delivery.
- Build and run user-centred, product-led secure web services.
- Configure, maintain, and monitor IaaS resources within AWS environments.
- Collaborate with team members, delivery partners, and service providers on delivery milestones.
- Author and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Validate and approve code written by other teams.
- Assist in reviews of BCP/DR and Backup Plans.
- Suggest and implement changes to IT infrastructure based on BCP/DR and Backup Plans.
- Develop toolchains for CI/CD DevOps processes.
- Assist colleagues in using and supporting toolchains.
- Stay informed about Cloud technologies in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
