Job summary
Lead a team of engineers in a growing DevOps capability, providing technical direction to help engineering teams deploy, operate, and maintain software on established platforms. Improve deployment speed, reliability, observability, and productivity through Kubernetes and containerised environments, Site Reliability Engineering, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and the safe use of AI, while maintaining security and service stability.

Qualifications
- Experience using AI in engineering processes, reviewing AI output, and guiding AI to meet corporate standards
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into production systems
- Familiarity with standards such as Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience
- Experience leading engineers, setting direction, and guiding junior engineers
- Proficiency in DevOps, cloud platforms, containerisation or orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers and provide technical direction
- Improve software deployment, operation, and maintenance on established platforms
- Lead adoption and use of Kubernetes and containerised environments
- Embed Site Reliability Engineering principles across services and teams
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, automation, and release processes
- Use AI safely to improve deployment efficiency and operational productivity
- Identify and reduce bottlenecks between development and production
- Improve reliability, observability, and operational performance
- Guide engineers and promote effective DevOps practices
