Job summary

The Lead Development Operations Engineer is tasked with overseeing the migration of solutions to containerized environments using technologies like Kubernetes and OpenShift. Key responsibilities include managing builds and deployments, creating Docker files, and automating operations while ensuring adherence to security best practices and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Expertise in Containerization (Docker preferred)
• Experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD)

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of solutions to containers and design implementation for orchestrators like OpenShift and Kubernetes
• Create and maintain Docker files, manifest files, and HELM Charts
• Manage builds and deployments
• Deploy new clusters and upgrade/maintain existing ones
• Lead junior team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for scalability and reliability
• Support customers during solution rollout
• Troubleshoot operating system issues and software defects
• Automate operations including backups and deployments
• Follow security best practices
• Identify technical obstacles and propose solutions
• Evaluate third-party technologies for architecture roadmap
• Stay updated with industry trends
• Participate in full software development life cycle
