Job summary
Leads hands-on engineering and lifecycle ownership of AWS-hosted identity platforms running on Kubernetes and ECS, providing technical direction and mentoring while delivering secure, maintainable services. The role develops Terraform infrastructure, Helm charts, and GitLab CI pipelines; operates ECS and EKS workloads; integrates automated and performance testing; and supports production incidents. The platform also uses Kong API Gateway, Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, and Dynatrace.

Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS, EKS, EC2, IAM, KMS, and CloudWatch.
- Strong Terraform experience, including reusable modules and multi-environment management.
- Advanced Kubernetes knowledge, including workload operations, RBAC, autoscaling, and troubleshooting.
- Experience writing and maintaining Helm charts.
- Experience with ECS services, task definitions, capacity providers, and operational troubleshooting.
- Experience building and troubleshooting Docker images and containers.
- Experience developing GitLab CI pipelines and reusable components.
- Experience testing infrastructure, platform code, or applications and integrating tests into CI/CD.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWTs, API authentication, and IAM.
- Strong technical documentation and written communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
- Have or be willing to undergo security clearance and Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
Responsibilities
- Own services from design through production support.
- Develop infrastructure and maintain reusable Terraform modules.
- Develop and maintain Helm charts and shared chart libraries.
- Deploy and support services on ECS and EKS.
- Write and maintain GitLab CI pipelines and reusable templates.
- Develop automated tests for infrastructure, platform code, and applications.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Investigate incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
- Review designs, code, and merge requests.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical direction.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and contribute to delivery planning.
- Improve platform automation, engineering standards, and technical documentation.
