Job summary

LOGPAY Financial Services GmbH is seeking a Lead Developer with a DevOps focus. This role involves technically leading and developing a DevOps team, mentoring team members, and ensuring the feasibility of product development. The position requires responsibility for the conception, implementation, and optimization of modern backend architectures using Java/Spring Boot, as well as deployment and operation of applications in AWS.

Qualifications

• High degree of initiative, teamwork, and strong communication skills
• Experience leading small development teams, including professional and personal employee development
• Experience with agile development processes (Scrum, Kanban)
• Excellent knowledge in designing and implementing REST APIs
• At least 5 years of experience in development with Java or Kotlin, ideally with Spring Boot
• At least 2 years of professional experience in architecture, development, operation, and/or migration of applications in AWS or a comparable cloud environment
• Experience with container management and orchestration (e.g., Docker Swarm, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or comparable)
• Experience in an operations environment: network design, monitoring, alerting (e.g., with CloudWatch)
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and development for a motivated DevOps team
• Mentor and train team members, fostering knowledge transfer and team culture
• Ensure feasibility of product development in collaboration with product managers and designers
• Responsible for the conception, implementation, and optimization of modern backend architectures using Java/Spring Boot
• Ensure high code quality through unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito)
• Responsible for deployment and operation of applications in AWS (e.g., Docker, ECS, RDS PostgreSQL, CloudWatch)
• Build, maintain, and monitor infrastructure with Terraform (IaC)
• Design networks and implement monitoring and alerting solutions
• Support internal and external compliance and audit topics (e.g., PCI DSS 4.0)
