Job summary
Aston Martin F1 is seeking a Lead HPC Infrastructure Engineer to design, deliver, and operate their High-Performance Computing environment, ensuring the infrastructure supports engineering teams in developing competitive Formula One cars.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with enterprise Linux environments.
- Strong understanding of HPC architectures.
- Experience with HPC scheduling platforms.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation and observability tools.
- Experience with DevOps practices and container technologies.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Experience in high-performance motorsport or engineering.
- Proactive and results-driven approach.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, deployment, operation and improvement of Linux-based HPC infrastructure.
- Oversee HPC clusters for CFD and FEA simulation workloads.
- Lead migration and development of HPC infrastructure in a new datacentre.
- Optimize compute performance through hardware tuning and parallel computing technologies.
- Drive platform observability and operational excellence with monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams for CI/CD pipelines.
- Plan, budget and deliver HPC infrastructure projects on time.
- Build and mentor a high-performing infrastructure team.
- Ensure HPC capabilities meet evolving race programme demands.
- Champion best practices in infrastructure operations.
