Job summary
The Lead Infrastructure Engineer role is centered on supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the BMC Helix platform suite, which includes BMC Helix Operations Manager, BMC Helix Capacity Optimisation, and BMC Helix Discovery. Responsibilities encompass maintaining operational support for AutoSys Workload Automation, developing Infrastructure as Code solutions, and providing technical leadership to enhance service availability and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience of one or more of the following technologies: AutoSys Workload Automation, BMC Helix Operations Manager, BMC Helix Capacity Optimisation, BMC Helix Discovery, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps engineering practices, Flexera Software Asset Management platform.
Responsibilities
- Maintain operational support for the AutoSys Workload Automation estate.
- Maintain and optimise the BMC Helix platform suite.
- Contribute to out-of-hours support arrangements and improve team resilience.
- Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions supporting Flexera SaaS integration.
- Provide engineering expertise and leadership to enable strategic workstreams to continue whilst maintaining BAU services.
- Support service availability, stability and operational effectiveness across DWP tooling services.
