Job summary

Lead infrastructure engineering for business intelligence platforms, delivering reliable and secure changes across Windows and Linux environments and AWS/SaaS integrations. Coordinate infrastructure workstreams spanning cloud connectivity, compute and storage, load balancing, DNS, and TLS; automate deployments, troubleshoot incidents, and drive platform modernization. The role also emphasizes controlled change management, security and auditability, and collaboration with security, IAM, network, SRE, operations, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and at least five years of applied experience.
• Deep knowledge of one or more infrastructure engineering areas, such as networking, databases, storage, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, including operating in and migrating across public and private clouds.
• Experience with a specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages such as Python; experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
• Hands-on experience operating Windows and Linux systems, including services, logging, patching, access controls, and performance troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, scripting, and repeatable deployment and operational patterns.
• Experience with observability and monitoring, including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
• Strong incident management, high-severity event communication, and post-incident documentation skills.
• Ability to lead cross-team delivery, translate requirements into technical designs, manage dependencies, and execute within change controls.
• Experience supporting enterprise BI platforms such as Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or Sigma is preferred.
• Experience with BI platform operations, performance tuning, data-source integration, and enterprise identity and SSO is preferred.
• Experience supporting third-party SaaS BI products hosted on AWS and coordinating vendor incidents is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS IAM, VPC networking, security groups, load balancing, DNS, and monitoring is preferred.
• Experience in regulated or audit-controlled environments is preferred.
• Ability to validate AI-assisted recommendations and ensure outcomes meet resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end infrastructure changes for BI platforms across Windows, Linux, AWS, and SaaS environments.
• Lead infrastructure workstreams across cloud connectivity, compute, storage, load balancing, DNS, and TLS.
• Manage workstream scope, dependencies, risks, and status.
• Partner with security, IAM, network, SRE, operations, and vendors to implement resilient solutions and modernize platforms.
• Automate and standardize delivery with Infrastructure as Code and repeatable deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot cross-domain issues and drive root cause resolution.
• Plan testing, phased rollouts, and backout procedures to reduce change impact.
• Implement security and compliance controls and maintain runbooks and operational documentation.
• Use authorized AI capabilities to support infrastructure analysis and documentation, validating outputs and protecting sensitive data.
• Improve reliability using monitoring, alerting, telemetry, and post-incident findings.
