Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

Leads an infrastructure team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining hybrid cloud and on-premises systems, with a focus on Kubernetes. The role covers team leadership, scalable architecture, Terraform and Ansible automation, and operational reliability across servers, networks, storage, and clusters. It also includes incident response, security and audit readiness, and vendor management in a multi-cloud environment using AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Experience leading infrastructure or operations teams.
• Experience establishing operational metrics, uptime SLAs, cloud spend optimization, and incident response frameworks.
• Strong organizational, resource-allocation, and project management skills.
• Deep knowledge of on-premises physical servers, SAN/NAS storage, and enterprise networking.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience architecting and administering multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience administering Linux and Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and resource the infrastructure team.
• Design scalable hybrid roadmaps and Kubernetes-focused system architectures.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• Maintain performance, monitoring, and uptime across servers, networks, storage, and Kubernetes clusters.
• Manage incident response and off-hours maintenance.
• Partner with information security teams to enforce controls, conduct risk assessments, and maintain audit readiness.
• Evaluate third-party tools and manage technology partners to ensure SLA compliance.
