Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

Leads an infrastructure team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining hybrid cloud and on-premises systems, with a focus on Kubernetes. The role covers infrastructure architecture, automation with Terraform and Ansible, reliability across servers, networks, storage, and clusters, and operational governance including incident response, security controls, audit readiness, and vendor SLAs.

• Experience leading infrastructure or operations teams.
• Experience establishing operational metrics for incident response, uptime, and cloud spend optimization.
• Strong organizational, resource-allocation, and project management skills.
• Deep knowledge of on-premises hardware, physical servers, SAN/NAS storage, and enterprise networking.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience architecting and administering multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and resource the infrastructure team.
• Design scalable hybrid infrastructure roadmaps and Kubernetes-centric architectures.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation using Ansible and Terraform.
• Maintain performance, monitoring, and uptime across servers, networks, storage, and Kubernetes clusters.
• Manage incident response and off-hours maintenance.
• Partner with information security teams to enforce controls, conduct risk assessments, and maintain audit readiness.
• Evaluate third-party tools and manage vendor relationships to meet service-level agreements.
