Job summary
Lead the architecture, development, integration, and implementation of sovereign cloud platforms focused on data sovereignty, scalability, interoperability, and high-security requirements. Design open-source cloud infrastructure using Linux virtualization, Kubernetes, and CNCF projects; define architecture standards; review Go code; and develop SDN integration, immutable operating system stacks, and air-gapped Kubernetes bootstrap processes with PXE-based provisioning.

Qualifications
- Strong Kubernetes knowledge for container orchestration
- Ability to build and validate Go code
- Experience with PXE-based bare-metal provisioning
- Knowledge of air-gap architectures and Kubernetes cluster bootstrapping
- Native-level German and good spoken and written English
- Agile development experience with methods such as Scrum or Kanban is an advantage
- Python automation and scripting experience is an advantage
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is an advantage
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus or Grafana is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture and implementation of a sovereign cloud platform providing network, compute, and storage services
- Design and develop open-source cloud architecture using Linux virtualization, Kubernetes, and CNCF projects
- Develop Kubernetes-based container orchestration and advanced orchestrator models
- Integrate network virtualization and SDN concepts across architectures
- Define and monitor architecture standards and reference architectures
- Prepare and review Go code and define work packages for development teams
- Collaborate with security, observability, storage, and network teams and the customer-side lead architect
- Design immutable Linux operating system stacks with secure boot and PXE-based provisioning
- Design air-gapped Kubernetes bootstrap processes, including USB ISO installation and etcd initialization
- Evaluate and develop automation for bare-metal provisioning and operating system lifecycle management
