Job summary

Mas*** is seeking a Lead Kubernetes Platform Engineer to drive the strategy, architecture, and evolution of their enterprise container platform.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing and operating large-scale Kubernetes platforms.
  • Expertise with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Argo CD and GitOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes networking and traffic management.
  • Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation technologies.
  • Experience with progressive delivery strategies.
  • Understanding of observability and security controls.
  • Ability to lead complex engineering initiatives.
  • Recognized technical leader with influencing skills.
  • Experience mentoring engineers.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with technical execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of platform lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, design, and implementation of Kubernetes platform capabilities across AWS and Azure.
  • Define and evolve platform standards for cluster lifecycle management, networking, workload identity, security, observability, and resiliency.
  • Drive long-term technical vision and roadmap for multi-cloud Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Champion cloud-native design patterns and engineering best practices.
  • Own enterprise GitOps strategy leveraging Argo CD and multi-cluster management.
  • Design and implement reusable platform services and automation frameworks.
  • Improve developer experience through self-service platform capabilities.
  • Lead adoption of progressive delivery practices.
  • Serve as lead technical authority for Kubernetes initiatives.
  • Lead architecture reviews and design discussions.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Drive operational excellence through automation and monitoring.
  • Lead troubleshooting of complex distributed systems issues.
  • Ensure platform solutions meet reliability, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Establish operational standards and engineering practices.
  • Partner with teams to align platform capabilities with business objectives.
  • Communicate technical strategy to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Build consensus to accelerate cloud-native transformation initiatives.
