Job summary
McKesson is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership across its enterprise infrastructure, spanning cloud and on-premises environments. This role involves setting technical direction for infrastructure initiatives, leading large-scale projects, and driving innovation in automation and reliability. The lead will partner with senior engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, including enterprise-scale system design and implementation
- Hands-on experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in hybrid or multi-cloud environments
- Strong experience with network engineering concepts including BGP, routing protocols, and network design
- Proven experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) for infrastructure deployment
- Deep experience with cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Experience managing enterprise infrastructure performance, capacity planning, and cost optimization
- Proven ability to lead large-scale infrastructure projects and serve as escalation point for complex issues
- Experience working with enterprise security, compliance, and governance frameworks
- Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries
- Strong leadership and stakeholder influence skills across cross-functional technical teams
- Experience implementing DevOps and SRE practices to improve reliability and operational efficiency
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability
- Set technical direction for infrastructure initiatives and enforce enterprise architecture standards and best practices
- Drive and oversee delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects aligned with business objectives
- Own network capacity planning, including optimization of performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Serve as escalation point for critical incidents and lead complex troubleshooting across infrastructure environments
- Drive innovation through infrastructure automation, orchestration, and reliability engineering practices
- Develop and enforce governance frameworks for SLAs, OLAs, and security/compliance requirements
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve infrastructure capabilities
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals
