Lead Network Automation Engineer

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Network Automation Engineer to redefine enterprise networking through automation and engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Network Engineering experience
• 5+ years of Infrastructure Automation experience
• 5+ years of Python scripting and Ansible development
• 3+ years of experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong expertise in Routing & Switching, WLAN, MPLS, DDI, SD-WAN
• Experience working with Linux environments
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of scalable automation frameworks
• Integrate and extend Nautobot as a network source-of-truth
• Utilize GitHub Copilot to accelerate development
• Maintain and execute the network automation roadmap
• Design and guide High-Level and Low-Level Designs for network solutions
• Lead complex implementations and configurations across environments
• Support and engineer on Cisco and Arista platforms
• Drive remote end-user network access improvements
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues
• Monitor performance trends and recommend improvements
• Identify gaps in processes and implement automation
• Design and implement secure network solutions
• Assess and manage risk of changes to production systems
• Perform secure implementation of network changes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives
• Lead technical discussions and mentor engineers
• Provide implementation guidance outside standard hours
