Job summary

Lead Data Engineer to own and develop the Databricks environment, focusing on scalable data infrastructure and guiding a team of engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design and delivery of scalable data platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, Python, and SQL.
• Understanding of cloud-native data engineering, including Azure and Infrastructure as Code.
• Expertise in data modelling, ETL/ELT, governance, security, and quality.
• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Databricks platform, ensuring security and scalability.
• Design data architectures and engineering standards for analytics and AI.
• Lead delivery of batch and real-time data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Coach and mentor engineers, promoting technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Product, Analytics, and Data Science teams to solve business challenges.
