Lead / Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer (Java / GCP) – H/F

Job summary

The Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer stabilizes and improves critical cloud services and platform components in a distributed production environment, with a focus on resilience, reliability, and performance. The role develops Java and Spring Boot microservices on GCP and OpenShift, builds event-driven systems with Kafka and Pub/Sub, defines Datadog observability and SRE practices, resolves major incidents, and automates deployments using ArgoCD, Terraform, GitLab CI, and Helm.

Qualifications

• Ideally more than 8 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or SRE.
• Experience operating critical SaaS or cloud platforms in production.
• Expert-level Java and Spring Boot skills.
• Expert-level GCP knowledge, including GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, IAM, and Monitoring.
• Strong GKE and Kubernetes skills.
• ArgoCD experience.
• Fluent French and English.
• Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Datadog observability tools.
• Experience with Terraform, Helm, and GitLab CI.
• Strong cloud security and complex problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, optimize, and stabilize critical cloud services and platform components.
• Develop and maintain Java and Spring Boot microservices on GCP and OpenShift.
• Design and implement event-driven architectures with Kafka and GCP Pub/Sub.
• Define observability strategies for logs, metrics, traces, and alerts using Datadog.
• Define and track KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs.
• Resolve major production incidents and conduct root cause analyses.
• Support deployment automation using ArgoCD, Terraform, GitLab CI, and Helm.
• Mentor development teams in cloud, DevOps, and SRE practices.
