Lead, Site Reliability Engineer

Job summary

Tripstack is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to oversee the Toronto SRE team and shape the deployment strategy for application workloads across GCP and Gothenburg.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an SRE, platform, or infrastructure team
• Production Kubernetes experience
• Strong GCP experience
• Senior-level Infrastructure as Code and GitOps experience
• Observability and reliability practices
• Security-minded operations
• Experience with major infrastructure transitions
• Clear written and verbal English
• Based in the Greater Toronto Area

Responsibilities

• Lead the Toronto SRE team
• Provide technical and people leadership for SRE engineers
• Own on-call and incident management for shared infrastructure
• Develop engineers who communicate effectively with leadership
• Coordinate with SRE and engineering colleagues in Pune and Kraków
• Own the GCP US-to-EU region migration end to end
• Define workload placement strategy
• Establish consistent deployment model across platforms
• Consolidate identity systems
• Define onboarding standards for application teams
• Co-own execution of the Gothenburg migration
• Plan and execute subsequent migration waves
• Own network architecture of a cross-Atlantic platform
• Decommission legacy infrastructure
• Build formal SLO framework
• Extend observability stack
• Standardize post-incident follow-through and capacity planning
• Partner with Security team on infrastructure security
• Operate PCI-scoped environment to required standards
• Enforce data-residency requirements for PII
