Lead Software Engineer - Cloud Platform Engineering

Job summary

As a Platform Engineer, you will develop secure, high-quality production code and design Kubernetes-based platform services while providing operational support in a 'you-build-it-you-run-it' culture. Key responsibilities include automating developer self-service and CI/CD, improving operational stability, and leading the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to enhance code quality and delivery speed.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, and operational stability
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, or Kotlin
• Understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Experience in cloud-native deployment of Kubernetes applications
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools

Responsibilities

• Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews/debugs code
• Develops composable infrastructure systems and capabilities
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues
• Provides operational support for production systems, including incident response
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams
• Leads communities of practice to drive awareness of new technologies
• Contributes to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
• Designs, builds, and operates Kubernetes-based platform services
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices
• Applies knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools
