Job summary

Lead Software Engineer responsible for developing scalable data pipelines and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver technology products within the Data Analytics – Payments Technology team.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, and operational stability
• Professional experience in software engineering or data platform development
• Advanced in programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks
• Understanding of data modeling techniques and query optimization
• Experience designing data pipelines on Databricks
• Proficiency with cloud data services
• Experience engineering data platforms on Kubernetes
• Understanding of agile methodologies
• Experience with Agentic AI and related architectures

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
• Develop data platform components including data cataloging and data quality frameworks
• Implement data modeling strategies for analytics and reporting
• Partner with analytics teams and business stakeholders
• Develop secure high-quality production code and review code written by others
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams
• Lead development of the Agentic Autonomous Lakehouse capability
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering
