Job summary
Lead Software Engineer responsible for developing scalable data pipelines and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver technology products within the Data Analytics – Payments Technology team.
Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, and operational stability
- Professional experience in software engineering or data platform development
- Advanced in programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks
- Understanding of data modeling techniques and query optimization
- Experience designing data pipelines on Databricks
- Proficiency with cloud data services
- Experience engineering data platforms on Kubernetes
- Understanding of agile methodologies
- Experience with Agentic AI and related architectures
Responsibilities
- Execute creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
- Develop data platform components including data cataloging and data quality frameworks
- Implement data modeling strategies for analytics and reporting
- Partner with analytics teams and business stakeholders
- Develop secure high-quality production code and review code written by others
- Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues
- Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams
- Lead development of the Agentic Autonomous Lakehouse capability
- Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering
