The Lead Software Engineer role focuses on building foundational identity services for secure public cloud platforms, shaping the technical direction and engineering culture of a new Identity and Access Management team. Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience with Identity and Access Management platforms and role-based access control
- Proficiency in languages or platforms such as Java, Spring, Go, Python, Terraform, or Kubernetes
- Cloud-native experience on public cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Understanding of agile practices including continuous integration and application resiliency
- Ability to evaluate technical solutions with a customer-focused mindset
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of platform services and infrastructure with emphasis on architecture, integration patterns, and system reliability
- Develop, review, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality production code
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability
- Lead design reviews and architecture discussions to evaluate solutions and strengthen technical quality
- Partner with platform architecture and trust teams to align designs across teams
- Lead communities of practice to increase awareness and adoption of new technologies
- Mentor and coach engineers through hands-on technical guidance
