Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering and 5+ years of experience
• Hands-on Java/J2EE development experience with Spring Boot and REST API design
• AWS platform engineering experience
• Experience operating Kubernetes in high-availability environments
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform
• Production support experience with observability tools
• Experience with testing frameworks and performance testing tools
• Grounding in domain-driven design and microservices patterns
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows

Responsibilities

• Lead design and operation of cloud platform capabilities and production environments
• Build and maintain secure Java and Spring Boot services, including RESTful APIs
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
• Support safe release practices for high-availability services
• Improve operational stability through automation
• Apply SRE practices and participate in change management
• Use observability tools to monitor and improve production services
• Deliver CI/CD using Git and enterprise pipelines
• Prototype AI-enabled workflows and translate stakeholder needs into designs
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices
