Job summary

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will enhance the reliability and performance of customer-facing digital banking services within the International Consumer Bank. Key responsibilities include driving continuous improvement of reliability, building automation, and establishing resiliency patterns, while utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS, and observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a software engineer with proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience operating and improving production systems in site reliability engineering.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across services and infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud computing services.
• Ability to lead technically and influence stakeholders.
• Responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of reliability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Define and operationalize service-level indicators and objectives.
• Build automation and self-healing mechanisms.
• Lead performance engineering and capacity planning.
• Establish resiliency patterns and failover strategies.
• Set technical direction for observability and automation.
• Implement complex engineering work and delegate effectively.
• Align reliability priorities with delivery roadmaps.
• Participate in feature planning and design reviews.
• Coach and mentor site reliability engineers.
• Encourage effective AI practices and governance.
