Job summary

Lead Site Reliability Engineer responsible for shaping reliability engineering across critical data products and platforms, leading initiatives to improve service levels and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of site reliability engineering practices
• Proficiency in at least one programming language
• Experience with observability practices and tools
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and release automation
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and configuration management
• Experience with containers and orchestration
• Ability to troubleshoot networking technologies
• Ability to solve problems with complex data structures
• Ability to break down complex problems for engineering teams
• Ability to collaborate and influence technical decisions
• Drive to self-educate and evaluate new technology

Responsibilities

• Champion site reliability culture and practices
• Lead initiatives to improve reliability and stability
• Define service level indicators, objectives, and error budgets
• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks
• Act as primary contact during major incidents
• Document and share knowledge
• Define and drive CI/CD strategy and pipeline standards
• Implement infrastructure-as-code practices
• Lead resiliency design reviews for data products
• Embed shift-left security practices into delivery pipelines
• Lead capacity planning and cost optimization
