Job summary

L3H*** is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to perform system sustainment functions related to the MOSSAIC C2 Space Domain Awareness mission at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. The role involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical leadership for system operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years of related experience, or a graduate degree with at least 7 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • Strong experience with system performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and system administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical activities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monitoring and maintenance of the operational platform and tenant applications.
  • Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of system issues and outages.
  • Provide technical leadership for system sustainment activities.
  • Guide end-user support efforts and promote system best practices.
  • Lead planning and implementation of system upgrades and patches.
  • Conduct routine system audits to evaluate performance and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and procedures.
  • Coordinate with support teams and stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Review system alerts and drive corrective actions.
  • Prepare performance reports and assess system health.
  • Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, and CUI requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and administrators.
