Lead Test Automation Engineer

Job summary

FDM is seeking a Lead Test Automation Engineer for a 12-month hybrid contract in Dublin, focusing on automated quality assurance in the financial services sector.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on test automation experience with C#/.NET.
• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, and Cypress.
• Expertise in testing REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Experience validating data with SQL Server and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for AI-assisted testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites in C# across APIs, services, and data pipelines.
• Build and enhance Playwright-based UI and end-to-end automation for web and mobile platforms.
• Create, maintain, and optimize reusable test frameworks and automation libraries.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Validate data quality and permissions across multiple products.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed quality practices in the software development lifecycle.
• Use AI-powered tools to accelerate test development.
• Investigate test failures and document defects.
• Contribute to regression, performance, and integration testing.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies.
