Job summary

Hörmann is seeking a Linux Administrator with a focus on DevOps to support their virtualized Linux server environment and complex network architectures.

Qualifications

• Completed training in IT (e.g., IT specialist in system integration or a comparable qualification)
• Knowledge in the administration of (SUSE) Linux Enterprise server systems and other distributions
• Basic understanding of DevOps methods and interest in further developing them in a corporate context
• Fluent in German and good English skills

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a virtualized Linux server environment and complex network architectures
• Ensure smooth operation of systems through ongoing optimization of configuration management, monitoring, and documentation
• Contribute to the design, maintenance, and development of Linux infrastructure
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automation of build, test, and deployment processes
• Integrate DevOps practices to improve scalability, stability, and efficiency of the system landscape
• Manage the GitLab instance of the Hörmann Group
• Regular system maintenance including patch management and log analysis
• Plan, implement, and document new system environments in cross-departmental projects
• Provide 2nd level support and maintenance as needed
