The Linux System Administrator / Engineer role is centered on managing and optimizing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. Responsibilities include administering RHEL systems, performing performance tuning, automating configuration management with tools like RedHat Satellite, Puppet, and Ansible, and supporting enterprise Linux solutions such as Centrify and NTP.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Expertise in system and kernel performance tuning.
• Knowledge of RedHat Satellite, Puppet, and Ansible.
• Experience with enterprise Linux environments and solutions.
• Understanding of virtualization, networking, storage, and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.
• Perform performance tuning of operating systems and server hardware.
• Manage and automate configuration management tasks using RedHat Satellite, Puppet, and Ansible.
• Support and maintain enterprise Linux technology solutions.
• Conduct performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions with Puppet and Ansible.
• Collaborate with teams on virtualization, networking, storage, and cloud environments.
• Ensure system compliance with security and performance standards.
• Participate in on-call support rotation.
