Machine Learning/Operations Research Platform Engineer

Job summary

Kinaxis is seeking a Machine Learning/Operations Research Platform Engineer to build infrastructure and software for machine-learning models and optimization algorithms in supply chain applications.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of software development experience with commercial software
• Working knowledge of C++ and object-oriented design
• Experience with distributed services in C++ and Python
• Experience with ML or optimization workloads in cloud environments
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Understanding of mathematical optimization and mixed-integer programming
• Familiarity with optimization solvers (Gurobi, Xpress, CPLEX)
• Ability to design and maintain automated test scripts
• Ability to innovate in SDLC using AI or tooling
• Ability to review AI-generated code for correctness and integration risk
• Familiarity with GPU-accelerated computing frameworks is desirable

Responsibilities

• Investigate novel techniques combining heuristics with optimization and ML
• Translate Supply Chain Management use cases into mathematical models
• Lead design and implementation of mathematical models and ML systems
• Define test strategies and develop comprehensive test plans
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure robust software
• Design and maintain automated test scripts for various testing types
• Collaborate with agile team members and stakeholders
