Job summary

Leads DevOps and Automation Platform Services, directing globally distributed teams and setting strategy for DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and tooling platforms. The role oversees platform reliability, availability, compliance, and lifecycle management while driving delivery, vendor performance, audits, and security governance across teams in the UK and India. The environment includes Azure, cloud-native engineering, and PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS platforms.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in DevOps engineering, tooling, automation, or platform delivery.
• Experience managing geographically distributed DevOps teams.
• In-depth understanding of Azure and cloud-native engineering.
• Strong background in PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, cloud architecture, and enterprise platforms.
• Ability to drive automation, improve processes, and optimize platform performance.
• Experience delivering complex, large-scale, multi-cloud, or multi-tenant solutions.
• Ability to lead major programmes and manage stakeholder engagement and vendors.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, global organizations with matrix structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps engineers, Tooling Product Owners, and cross-functional teams across the UK and India.
• Set strategy and roadmaps for DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and tooling platforms.
• Oversee platform performance, availability, compliance, and lifecycle management.
• Drive automation, process optimization, and adoption of DevOps best practices.
• Ensure high-quality programme, operations, and release delivery, including CI/CD governance.
• Manage vendor performance and third-party delivery.
• Align technology with business needs in collaboration with architects, senior colleagues, and portfolio teams.
• Mitigate risks, support audits, and ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance standards.
