Job summary
Manager, Platform Engineering responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable platform capabilities across hybrid infrastructure environments.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure IaaS, VMware, Hyper-V, and hybrid cloud environments
- Deep experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience implementing observability and monitoring tooling
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Responsibilities
- Lead development and operation of shared platform services across on-premises and cloud environments
- Drive platform engineering practices including infrastructure as code and automation
- Build and enhance internal developer platforms for application delivery
- Implement and manage observability and monitoring tools for platform health
- Partner with security and architecture teams for secure platform solutions
- Establish platform standards and engineering best practices
- Own platform availability and operational readiness metrics
- Lead cloud transformation and modernization initiatives
- Develop documentation and operational procedures
- Coach and mentor engineers fostering a culture of improvement
- Participate in major incident management and support escalations
