Job summary

The Chapter Manager, SRE Development & Reliability, will ensure Supply Chain systems are operational and monitored. This role involves active participation in Production Operational Excellence, including technical vision, telemetry and observation decisions, automation strategy, framework development, solution delivery, incident and problem management. The manager will also support the stability, performance, and ongoing development of core Supply Chain applications, focusing on long-term stability, scalability, security, and effective operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in retail/Supply Chain environment
  • 5-10 years in IT environment
  • Diploma or degree from an accredited technical institution in computer technologies
  • Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering aspects and practices
  • Strong knowledge of Retail/Supply Chain applications and architecture
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud applications, standards, and frameworks
  • Ability to read, write, and understand multiple coding languages and frameworks (Java, Javascript, NodeJS, React, Terraform)
  • Strong understanding of database environments (SQL, CosmoDB)
  • Ability to read, write, and execute SQL statements/scripts
  • Understanding and ability to operate Linux/Unix shell environment
  • Knowledge of common basic commands and fundamentals of Linux operating systems
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of application and business analysis practices
  • Strong commitment to creating and maintaining documentation
  • Ability to perform gap analysis for application performance, functionality, and process improvements

Responsibilities

  • Support stability, performance, and development of core Supply Chain applications
  • Participate in monitoring, triage, and software development activities
  • Promote platform stability standards and practices
  • Provide feedback on product design for stability, scalability, security, and operational considerations
  • Drive proactive development of stability improvements
  • Demonstrate leadership and facilitate communication between teams
  • Provide hands-on application support for core business applications
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and incident resolution
  • Analyze existing monitoring and telemetry systems
  • Define and design telemetry during product design
  • Manage development teams to deliver stability, scalability, security, and operational improvements
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders for process improvements
  • Maintain documentation, provide knowledge transfer, and facilitate training
  • Provide application expertise for project requirements and support transitions
  • Communicate with business stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Define and support release management processes and pipelines
