Maximo Infrastructure Architect/Engineer

Job summary

Lead end-to-end IBM Maximo Application Suite 9 infrastructure implementations for international clients, taking projects from discovery and architecture through installation, production go-live, and operational handover. Design and operate secure, resilient environments on Red Hat OpenShift across IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, private cloud, and on-premises deployments, while supporting upgrades, automation, monitoring, and disaster recovery. Contribute infrastructure and integrations for AI-enabled asset management.

Qualifications

• Personally led or delivered complete production MAS 9 implementations through go-live and handover.
• Maximo or MAS delivery experience across multiple industry sectors.
• Hands-on Red Hat OpenShift expertise, including the oc CLI, operators, containers, storage, networking, certificates, and security.
• Strong Linux skills and knowledge of DNS, load balancing, TLS, identity integration, and access control.
• Experience designing Maximo or MAS infrastructure across IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and AWS, including hybrid connectivity.
• Hands-on experience with Db2, Oracle Database, and Microsoft SQL Server for Maximo Manage.
• Experience deploying, securing, and monitoring Apache Kafka for integrations and event streaming when required.
• Experience with release compatibility checks, upgrades, performance tuning, recovery testing, and technical documentation.
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs and collaborate with security, cloud, database, and application teams.
• Ability to manage priorities across client engagements and work with agreed time-zone overlap.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete MAS 9 implementations from infrastructure discovery through go-live and handover.
• Design and build secure, resilient MAS 9 environments across cloud, private cloud, and on-premises platforms.
• Install and configure Maximo Manage, MAS applications, industry solutions, and add-ons.
• Plan and deliver upgrades and migrations, including rehearsals, cutover, rollback, and post-go-live support.
• Design and validate high availability, backup, restoration, disaster recovery, monitoring, and capacity plans.
• Automate repeatable builds and deployments using IBM MAS CLI, Ansible, Terraform, and OpenShift Pipelines/Tekton.
• Lead client technical workshops and produce architecture documents and operational runbooks.
• Support secure hosting, connectivity, and integration between Maximo environments, enterprise data, and AI applications.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, mentor engineers, and share delivery practices.
