Job summary

SIX Group AG is seeking a Messaging Platform Engineer to manage and enhance their IBM MQ Appliance environment while expanding their messaging portfolio across OpenShift and Microsoft Azure. The role involves platform engineering, software development, and troubleshooting production issues.

Qualifications

• Enterprise messaging platform administration or engineering experience
• Production experience in OpenShift or public cloud environments
• Automation or software engineering skills in Java and Spring Boot
• Strong Linux, container, networking and security fundamentals
• Experience with CI/CD, observability and incident management
• Knowledge of Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform or cloud-native messaging

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve the IBM MQ Appliance platform
• Build automation, self-service capabilities and platform services
• Design and implement IBM MQ services in OpenShift and Azure
• Evaluate complementary messaging technologies
• Develop automation using APIs, CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotation
