Job summary

Create a proof of concept and design a migration from Citrix to Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). Implement, optimise, support, and govern AVD environments across development, test, and production, defining host pool strategies, image management, FSLogix profiles, application delivery, and identity integration. Apply Azure services and automation to deliver a secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective virtual desktop platform.

Qualifications

• Background as a Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop subject matter expert or cloud engineer
• Experience implementing, optimising, supporting, and governing AVD environments
• Experience defining host pool strategies, image management standards, FSLogix profiles, application delivery methods, and identity integration
• Experience with PowerShell, ARM Templates, Bicep, Azure DevOps, or Terraform automation
• Must be an Australian citizen and able to pass Baseline Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Create a proof of concept for migration from Citrix to AVD
• Design a solution for migrating Citrix environments to AVD
• Deploy and configure AVD across development, test, and production environments
• Provide technical expertise across engineering, operations, security, cost management, and service transition
• Develop gold image management and application packaging processes
