Job summary
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer designs and operates cloud solutions supporting Missile Defense Agency research and development, including migrations across private, public, and hybrid environments. The role covers cloud architecture, capacity and usage monitoring, security and compliance, disaster recovery, infrastructure automation, testing, and coordination with engineering and platform operations teams. Relevant technologies include IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, RHEL 7/8, Windows Server 2019 or later, Azure, and AWS.

Qualifications
- At least one year of directly related experience
- Understanding of IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS cloud delivery models
- Experience with enterprise server environments, including RHEL 7 or 8 or Windows Server 2019 or later
- Experience implementing cybersecurity best practices
- DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification
- Active DoW Secret security clearance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement client-specific cloud solutions
- Identify suitable cloud providers
- Size, monitor, and scale cloud networks and services to meet user demand
- Coordinate with business owners and stakeholders on growth plans
- Implement cloud security strategies and ensure compliance with applicable requirements
- Implement fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and failover capabilities
- Build infrastructure automation for rapid system and application updates
- Test and fine-tune solutions for efficiency
- Develop architectural vision, strategy, and roadmaps
- Work with engineering and platform operations teams to operationalize technology solutions
