G-Research is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to transform networking delivery across their global infrastructure. The role involves building automation frameworks, APIs, and tooling to create scalable and production-ready networks, while collaborating with various teams to enhance system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Confident with Python and solid engineering fundamentals
• Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, firewalls, and protocols
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to monitoring, observability, or telemetry in distributed systems
• Pragmatic problem solver who can operate in ambiguity
• Comfortable working in collaborative, fast-paced engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve automation frameworks for network provisioning and lifecycle management
• Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Jinja2
• Integrate network automation into CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments
• Create APIs and self-service tooling for engineering teams
• Implement observability and telemetry solutions for performance and reliability
• Partner with Network, Platform, and Security teams to deliver scalable systems
• Contribute to incident response and production reliability
