The Network Automation Engineer role is essential for providing engineering support to shipboard networks, focusing on troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration updates. Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in network or systems engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE or NAC technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security fundamentals.
• Experience developing automation artifacts like Ansible playbooks.
• Ability to troubleshoot across multiple network deployments.
• Familiarity with Agile processes and change management.
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering sustainment support for fielded shipboard networks.
• Lead upgrades to network baselines for compatibility and reliability.
• Implement and sustain Cisco ISE/NAC solutions.
• Evaluate and implement STIGs to improve cybersecurity posture.
• Develop automation tooling for network sustainment.
• Troubleshoot issues across various Cisco platforms.
• Support engineering analysis of baseline-specific issues.
• Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) within Agile practices.
• Participate in change management processes.
• Contribute to configuration documentation and technical guides.
