Network Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

Support the safe, sustainable and efficient management of civil infrastructure, including roads, footpaths, bridges and related assets. Coordinate third-party road-reserve works and heavy-vehicle access applications, investigate engineering issues, advise stakeholders, and support capital works planning and delivery while monitoring progress against plans, budgets and applicable requirements.

• Experience investigating infrastructure and assessing engineering issues related to civil infrastructure assets
• Experience providing technical advice on roads, footpaths, bridges or related assets
• Strong interpersonal, stakeholder-management and communication skills
• Ability to plan, prioritise and manage time independently and collaboratively
• Ability to apply civil engineering principles, legislation, standards and policies to road access and civil infrastructure
• Working appreciation of drainage interfaces
• Current Victorian driver's licence

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate third-party road-reserve works and heavy-vehicle access applications

• Translate technical engineering and network-access information into practical advice for stakeholders and the community
• Support planning and delivery of capital works projects
• Monitor and report work progress against plans and budgets
