Network Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Network Infrastructure Engineer at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will support the Digital Services team in managing and securing the Trust's LAN, WAN, and WLAN services. The role involves ensuring high availability and usability of the network, collaborating with engineers, and liaising with suppliers for effective implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide Management and support for the Trust’s wide and Local Area Networks in conjunction with the Network Infrastructure Manager.
• Provide infrastructure support to ensure high availability, security and usability of the network that is transparent to users.
• Work closely with the Network infrastructure engineers and associates to ensure any routine work is up to standard with quality assurance checks, 2nd line escalation for problems that network engineers and associates need assistance with.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure effective implementation of the design, by co-ordinated implementation of the new infrastructure.
• To document network infrastructure as it is developed and maintained.
