Job summary

The Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, construction, and deployment of telecommunications infrastructure across various facilities in the greater Phoenix area. This role involves providing technical guidance for structured cabling and fiber optic systems, reviewing construction documents, conducting site surveys, and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience with structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Background in design review and construction administration.
• Ability to read architectural and low-voltage documents.
• Knowledge of telecommunications rooms and distribution systems.
• Familiarity with Category 6/6A cabling and fiber infrastructure.
• Knowledge of telecommunications standards and best practices.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable in active construction environments.
• Ability to access various telecommunications spaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Review architectural and low-voltage drawings for compliance with standards.
• Participate in project lifecycle from planning to turnover.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Review construction submittals and proposed design changes.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections for installation quality.
• Assist with planning and expansion of fiber infrastructure.
• Coordinate installation of telecommunications systems.
• Support testing and turnover of completed infrastructure.
• Maintain technical documentation and project records.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure risks and conflicts.
• Support multiple construction projects simultaneously.
