Job summary

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Assistant Vice President at Citi is responsible for the hands-on execution and deployment of SRE and observability principles in a complex environment, migrating applications to Google Cloud Observability and implementing automation solutions to enhance application reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of transparency, innovation, and technical excellence
• Partner with development and SRE teams to drive the adoption of OpenTelemetry and Google Cloud Observability
• Operate effectively within a highly regulated environment
• Partner with development teams to leverage cloud-native services
• Support and participate in advanced recovery testing
• Drive the adoption and development of automation solutions
• Execute the migration of applications from legacy monitoring tools
• Develop, test, and maintain OpenTelemetry Collector configurations
• Author and maintain reusable deployment solutions
• Partner with application development teams to effectively instrument applications
• Aid with the design of GCO dashboards and alerts
