Job summary

OSC EdgeTech is seeking an OpenShift Cloud Engineer to support the technical infrastructure for the United States Army Recruiting Command. The role involves assisting with the implementation, administration, and support of Red Hat OpenShift environments, as well as supporting Linux and Windows server environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Windows Server administration
• Ability to support virtualization platforms
• Exposure to containerization concepts and Red Hat OpenShift
• Ability to work in DoD and government environments
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Clear communication of technical information
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

• Map relationships between IT platform components
• Identify key technology interactions and dependencies
• Investigate and troubleshoot system issues
• Deploy, configure, and administer Red Hat OpenShift clusters
• Monitor and optimize performance of Linux and Windows servers
• Implement and maintain backup strategies
• Document and baseline system configurations
• Research new tools and technologies
• Coordinate incident escalation and resource resolution
• Support Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations exercises
• Maintain security and integrity controls
• Prepare technical documentation and training materials
• Evaluate hardware/software procurement options
