Job summary

The OpenShift Container Platform Engineer is responsible for building, operating, and enhancing the OpenShift environment. Key responsibilities include deploying and maintaining OpenShift clusters, automating provisioning, supporting CI/CD workflows, and implementing security measures. The role requires expertise in OpenShift or Kubernetes, Linux administration, and scripting or automation tools.

Qualifications

• Practical experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes environments.
• Working knowledge of Linux administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Understanding of container technologies and image management.
• Familiarity with networking concepts like DNS, routing, and load balancing.
• Experience with scripting or automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with Git and automated software delivery practices.
• Understanding of infrastructure security and access management.
• Structured troubleshooting approach and collaboration skills.
• Clear communication skills in English for technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, maintain, and upgrade OpenShift clusters in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Monitor platform health, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Automate platform provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code.
• Support CI/CD and GitOps workflows with application development teams.
• Implement and maintain platform security controls.
• Configure and support integrations with enterprise services.
• Contribute to backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Support application teams with onboarding and deployment standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.
• Participate in incident management and continuous improvement activities.
